BAILEY FENN

Hi! My name is Bailey Fenn. I am a 3rd year Sound Design MFA Candidate at the University of Minnesota. I recently received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design/Technology from Auburn University. Prior to that, I received my Associate of Arts in Technical Production from Chipola College. My goal has always been to create art that brings people joy, but I also want that art to have more than just surface level value. As a designer, I want to convey to my audience that the world is a beautiful place, but that it needs work to grow and prosper into what it is supposed to be. Whether it be a simple soundscape or one day I am making the next big movie score, I want my work to make someone smile. The beauty of sound design is that, usually, people do not always listen for the subtle crescendos or the tiny little easter eggs we leave behind. I like to be a silent partner; helping move a piece of art towards its intended goal. I have had the privilege of working on several projects with incredible designers over the years and I hope to one day leave behind the knowledge and joy in my work as others have so graciously done for me.
