In a dystopian take on "The Scarlet Letter", Suzan Lori Parks explores how far a mother will go for her son. While exploring the relationship to the prison system, abortion, and a tyrannical government, she also composed a full libretto.

For my design, I recomposed all of her original music to build an aural world that was tethered to the heart of the piece, while exploring a more sci-fi take on musical genre.
